Bread & Butter was founded in 2012 to make proper bread the way it should be — with just flour, water, salt, and time.

In 2024, a new team took over with one mission:
Make Bread & Butter’s bread available to more people, every day.

No shortcuts. No preservatives. Just slow-fermented sourdough that’s:

  • Bigger, better, and more affordable

  • family-ready

  • Sliced, bagged, and made to be a daily staple

We bake for homes, supermarkets, and food service across Aotearoa — and through our Bread Project, we’ve donated over 10,000 loaves to communities in need.

Because everyone deserves better bread.
