At Bread & Butter, our mission is simple:
Make real bread a part of daily life.
In a world where bread is either made with a laundry list of additives or is sold as a luxury item, we’re choosing a different path.
We believe everyone should have access to genuinely good food. We also believe that proper bread shouldn’t be a privilege.
This is why we make bread the way it’s meant to be made — with just flour, water, salt, and time — and why we choose to sell it for a reasonable price.
We’re here for anyone tired of choosing between quality and price.

The Bread Project
At Bread & Butter, we believe everyone deserves access to real, nourishing bread, not just what's left over.
Through our initiative, Bread Project, we donate hundreds of fresh sourdough loaves every day to Auckland City Mission and the New Zealand Food Network, supporting communities around the North Island in need with the same quality bread we serve our own families. Not surplus. Not second-best. Just good bread, for everyone.
